Presenters: Joe and Terry Graedon, hosts of national radio show The People’s Pharmacy
Description: Always an ANCHASL favorite, the Graedons will provide us with essential health information about medical and alternative treatment options. Community registrations are welcomed! You may register just for this session Only. Lunch will be included.
Afternoon Session – MLA CE Course (1:00-3:00p)
Topic: Will Duct Tape Cure My Warts? Examining Complementary and Alternative Medicine
Instructor: Ashley Cuffia, Consumer Health Coordinator, National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Southeastern/Atlantic Region, Bethesda, MD
MLA CE Hours: 2
Description: The goal of this face-to-face CE course is to increase understanding of Complementary and Alternative Medicine(CAM). Participants will learn the history of CAM and its impact on medical practices — how CAM is used, how to avoid “bad science” and how to look up evidence of the effectiveness of CAM therapies. The class will include lecture, discussion, and hands-on training.
