Save the Date and Registration Information: Fall “Systematic Reviews: Opportunities for Librarians” Workshop at the University of Michigan
The next offering of “Systematic Reviews: Opportunities for Librarians” will be held at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor on November 21-22, 2019. The online portion of the course will be held October 25 – November 20, 2019.
For the November 2019 offering of the “Systematic Reviews: Opportunities for Librarians” course, 20 participants will be selected via a registration lottery. Up to 2 participants from your organization may be included on each submission. Registration is $100 plus a $3.49 service fee. The registration covers parking, breakfast, and lunch on November 21-22. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs, including overnight accommodations and other expenses. Travel and lodging information is available to registrants on the course site.
The course provides information professionals with foundational knowledge about systematic reviews and an opportunity to engage in high-level discussions with other librarians about our involvement in such projects.
The course is intended for librarians who have searching experience and are in some capacity involved or interested in systematic review projects. It runs on a flipped classroom model where didactic material and activities are presented in an asynchronous online format over a period of 3.5 weeks. Participants should expect to spend approximately 4-6 hours completing online coursework prior to joining us at University of Michigan’s Taubman Health Sciences Library for a 2-day intensive workshop. By participating in a series of activities and discussions, you’ll develop a toolkit of resources and strategies, and an action plan to help you move your systematic review goals forward when you return to your institution.
Participants who successfully complete both components receive 20 hours of MLA CE.
