Sewell Fund to attend APHA: webinar on June 30 (date change)
Each year, the PH/HA section of MLA receives funding from the Sewell Fund to send librarians to the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting. The meeting this year is in Denver, CO from October 29 to November 2.
Each year, we worry that we will have enough applicants so this year we decided to host a webinar (you will get 1 CE credit for participating). The webinar will be held June 30 (2:00 to 3:00 Eastern). (Please note-you may have seen an earlier announcement to hold the date for June 21; it had to be postponed until June 30.)
You don’t have to be a section member to apply; you don’t even have to be a public health librarian per se. Information-related activities in the realm of public health are highly desirable. The funding will cover a significant portion of attendance at APHA and it is a wonderful conference to attend.

The call for applications will go out soon; they will be due mid-July; this is a great way to get a head start!
