Fran Allegri, retired Assistant Director for the Health Sciences Library, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, July 26, 2024. Susan Keesee, MAC member and retired UNC Health Sciences Librarian, passed away November 1, 2022 around 10:30pm. She had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a couple months ago, but was hopeful as they caught it in the early stages. Last week she was admitted for pain and they found it had spread.

The MAC Honors and Awards Committee offers condolences on the passing of Bruce Arthur Johnston. Bruce Arthur Johnston, 66 of Edgewood, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Cherished son of the late Arthur and Beverly (Stein) Johnston. Beloved husband of Charles Blair Wessel. Loving brother of Deborrah Lynn Johnston (David Kammenzind).
