Librarian I/II – Biomedical Sciences Reference & Research Informationist

The Wayne State University Shiffman Medical Library seeks a creative, innovative Biomedical Sciences Librarian to fill the position of Biomedical Sciences Reference /Research Informationist. The Biomedical Informationist reports to the Director of the Shiffman Library and liaises with units, and selected departments in basic sciences and clinical medicine, including public health. This position requires a librarian with a strong background in biomedical sciences. Working with research units and departments, the Informationist provides expert searching, information resource training and is expected to work collaboratively to develop new methods for supporting basic and clinical biomedical research and to establish and support collaborative networks within the University.
