Job Posting: Resident Librarian (several positions)
The University Libraries at Virginia Tech Residency Program is offering up to six (6) entry-level resident librarian positions to recent graduates of a master’s degree program or entry-level library, data, or information professionals. These residencies offer an intensive three-year program where residents work in one of six strategic areas and have the opportunity to explore aspects of professional work in an academic library. The individualized program will reflect the successful candidate’s professional interests and long-term career goals.
The six areas include: (1) Data management and curation services, (2) Collections and outreach for the physical sciences, (3) Evidence synthesis (e.g., systematic review support), (4) Metadata services, (5) Open education, and (6) Publishing services.
