Ever wanted to learn more about how to create effective posters for conference presentations? Or do you want to discover how to promote your hospital library? Or would you like to hear about how libraries are using iPads? While at the MAC-MLA Meeting in Richmond, plan to attend the Contributed Papers Presentation Session on Wednesday, October 12th from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to learn more about these and a variety of other topics of interest to health sciences librarians.
Sessions will be held in the James River Salon A, B, and D Conference Rooms. This year’s contributed papers session will include four speakers for each of the three themes: Instructional Programming and Outreach, New Technologies and Services, and Professional Development and Librarianship. In just 2 hours you can learn about over 30 different projects in health science libraries that will inspire you to try something new in your library. At the MAC-MLA Meeting in Richmond there will be Poster Sessions from 11 am to noon and 3pm to 4 pm on Tuesday, October 11th in the lobby outside the exhibit area.
Projects range from the past – using Archives in new ways or collaborative print retention – to the future – learning how to get involved with electronic health records or mobile devices for librarians and patrons. From ‘Food for Fines’ to e-Science, you will find lots of interesting and helpful ideas at the MAC-MLA Poster Sessions.
