MAC Special Professional Development Grants

We have a special set of funding opportunities for 2011 only — the
Mid-Atlantic Chapter (MAC) Special Professional Development Grants
provide one-time support for members seeking to develop their knowledge
of the theoretical, administrative, or technical aspects of
librarianship or the health sciences.
Funds for this special award are from the Pittsburgh Chapter’s
Laurabelle Eakin/Ruth Shapiro Scholarship Fund.

Up to $3000 in grants may be available in total across both rounds if
applications warrant. Grants range from $100 to $500 and are paid in one
payment in advance of the registration deadline indicated in the
application whenever possible.

There are two rounds of application due dates. Applications are due no
later than March 1, 2011 for the first round. The second round is due
August 15, 2011. All applications must be received by the MAC PDC
Representative by the due dates to be valid.

More information and an editable application form are linked from

Please contact me if you have any questions as I am the PDC
Representative for the award process.   We look forward to receiving
applications and supporting MAC members’ professional development!
